Nice Fly

The five-passenger D-Jet represents Diamond’s impending entry into the burgeoning marketplace of very light jets (VLJs), which offers individuals and businesses jet transportation at acquisition and operating costs lower than those associated with traditional corporate jets.

"A hallmark of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is its emphasis on innovation and the introduction of new products in aviation. We’re delighted to present the first public showcase of the D-Jet as it enters a VLJ marketplace that is drawing considerable attention from the aviation community," said Tom Poberezny, EAA president and AirVenture chairman.

After conducting the D-Jet’s maiden flight on April 18 and several subsequent flight-performance tests, the Diamond team is enthusiastic to unveil its accomplishment.

"The D-Jet complements our strong line of aircraft in terms of its solid handling characteristics, simplicity of operation, comfort, and quality finish. During my test flights, I was thoroughly impressed by the D-Jet’s performance and feel. It is everything you would expect in a personal jet," said Christian Dries, CEO of Diamond Aircraft.

Throughout the week of AirVenture, the Diamond exhibit will include a mock-up D-Jet cabin, giving visitors an up-close view and a foretaste of the jet’s passenger offerings. Representatives of Diamond will also be on hand to discuss the D-Jet’s state-of-the-art features. Detail at skycontrol.net.
